Dear Brothers and Sisters,

A very special thank you to all those who helped make this summer’s Vacation Bible School a wonderful success for the 130+ children and youth who took part in it! I’m grateful to Judy Gruel and her team who worked so hard to make this year’s VBS so wonderful, and to our parents for making sure that their kids are seeing God in their everyday life, even during the summer. Thank you to everyone who helped!

A reminder that this Sunday night at 6:30pm we will be welcoming Josh Glaser, executive director of Regeneration, a Christian ministry that works alongside parishes to help men and women live lives of sexual integrity from the heart. Regeneration serves those who struggle with issues related to sexual sin and sexual/ relational brokenness. Josh will be with us to speak on the problem of pornography and how It affects dads, moms, teens and singles, and the path to overcome It and find freedom. Please join us as we find hope and healing in this struggle.

Next Sunday, July 22, we will host Sacred Relics Of The Saints: Treasures Of The Church, a teaching and exposition of Sacred Relics at 12:15 pm (following the 11:00 am Mass) and at 6:15 pm (following the 5:00 pm Mass).  Father Carlos Martins of the Companions of the Cross will be here with his very special ministry to teach about these holy objects.  He will bring with him over 150 relics, some as old as 2000 years.  Among the treasures will be relics of St. Maria Goretti, St. Therese of Lisieux (the “Little Flower”), St. Francis of Assisi, St. Anthony of Padua, St. Thomas Aquinas, and St. Faustina Kowalska.  In addition, there will also be present a portion of the veil of Our Lady, as well as one of the largest remaining pieces of the True Cross in the world.  Those in attendance will be able to examine and venerate each relic.  In the Church’s history many miracles and healings have been worked in the presence of relics, and many have been healed through this ministry.  Please do not miss this opportunity.  You are encouraged to bring your articles of devotion (such as rosaries, holy cards, etc.) and pictures of ill friends/family members which you will be able to touch to the reliquaries as a means of intercession. Please join us!
